Day Tickets Now on Sale for the Biathlon World Championships in Otepää
From 9–21 February 2027, Estonia will host the LaVita IBU World Championships Biathlon for the first time, bringing the world’s best biathletes to Otepää. Until now, multi-day passes have been available for the event, and day tickets for all competition days are now also on sale.
Over ten competition days, 12 sets of World Championship medals will be awarded in Otepää. “Sports fans who are unable to attend the event for a longer period can now choose the competition day that suits them best and purchase a day ticket. As this is the highlight of the biathlon season, we are expecting a large number of spectators from both Estonia and abroad. We recommend not leaving the purchase of day tickets until the last minute, as the number of grandstand tickets is limited,” said Aivar Nigol, Chairman of the Organising Committee.
Spectators can follow the competitions from different grandstands as well as from trackside viewing areas equipped with screens. “Depending on the grandstand, spectators can get a close-up view of the start, finish or shooting range. Along the course, the athletes pass very close to the spectators, offering a particularly immersive experience,” said Nigol. In addition to world-class sport, visitors can enjoy a cultural and entertainment programme designed for the whole family. Two-week, week and weekend passes have been on sale since spring. “Ticket sales so far have shown strong interest in the event both in Estonia and abroad. Latvians are likely to make up nearly one fifth of the spectators, as Otepää is easy for them to reach and Latvian athletes have been performing very well in recent years. We are also expecting large groups from Norway, Sweden and Finland, as well as from France, Germany and Italy,” added Nigol.
The LaVita IBU World Championships Biathlon will take place in Otepää from 9–21 February 2027. Tickets are available from Piletilevi. Admission is free for children aged 14 and under.
