BIATHLON OTEPÄÄ – 20 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE

 

For two decades, international biathlon events have been hosted in Otepää, the winter capital of Estonia. Guided by the slogan “Aspire to be Limitless”, OC Otepää combines passion, precision, and experience to deliver memorable competitions. Read more about Otepää from here.

How to Get to Estonia

Estonia is easily accessible by air through Tallinn, Tartu, or Riga airports, while Tallinn also offers regular ferry connections to/from Helsinki and Stockholm. Read more about ways to travel to Estonia from here.

Tehvandi Sports Center

Tehvandi Sports Center in Otepää is the premier venue for international winter sports in Estonia. The stadium and range sit at 149 meters above sea level, with the course ranging from 147 meters at its lowest point to 187 meters at its highest.

Media Center

The Media Center is a newly built multi-functional sports hall that provides modern facilities with 300 workspaces for journalists and media teams.​​

Hotel Dorpat: Located in central Tartu next to the bus station, ca 40 min drive to the venue

Hotel Sophia: Located on the outskirts of Tartu next to a shopping centre, ca 30 min drive to the venue

Hotel Tartu: Located in central Tartu next to the bus station, ca 40 min drive to the venue

Transfer buses for TV/media are available from the hotels in Tartu to the venue (earlier and later departure both ways).

Media parking is available next to the Media Center. 

Otto the Bear​​​​

The mascot of international biathlon events in Otepää is Otto the Bear, inspired by the town’s name—Otepää, which can be translated to “Bear’s Head” in Estonian.
