COVID-19 RULES FOR SPECTATORS

The Health Board and the Government of the Republic of Estonia has issued a special permit for the BMW IBU Biathlon World Cup stage, which allows us to receive up to 6,000 spectators in the competition centre. Due to the larger audience than the general restrictions allow, the BMW IBU Biathlon World Cup stage will continue to be subject to COVID-19 vaccination or recovery certificate requirement, which is no longer required for other outdoor events with up to 2,000 participants.

When purchasing a ticket to the BMW IBU Biathlon World Cup stage in Otepää, the ticket purchaser agrees to the current COVID-19 regulations:

1. During the event, visitors must exclusively comply with the measures prescribed by the law, authorities and/or organisers to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

2. Admission to the competition territory is permitted only with a valid digital COVID-19 certificate. The certificate is a document proving vaccination against or recovery from COVID-19. The certificates of all visitors are checked at the entrances. The organisers have the right to check the accuracy of the data with an additional verification of an identity card or passport if necessary. Children under the age of 18 and students turning 19 years of age this academic year are not obligated to present a certificate.

3. A valid document is required to gain admission to the competition:

  • Vaccination must have taken place within the last 9 months.

  • Recovery from COVID-19 must have taken place within the last 6 months.

A PCR or antigen test does not enable admission to the competitions.

4.  Ticket holders are responsible for the accuracy and validity of the certificate on the day of the event.

5. A printed COVID-19 certificate with a QR-code is preferred.

6. Ticket holders confirm that:

  • they have not tested positive for COVID-19 on the day of the event;

  • they have not had close contact with a person who tested positive for COVID-19 in the last ten days;

  • they do not have any of the following symptoms: fever, cough, difficulty breathing.

7. In case of a damaged, expired or suspicious certificate or if the QR-code is illegible or cannot be checked, the organiser has the right to refuse admission to the competition.

8. Violation of the prescribed security measures and forgery of the certificate will result in a ban on the admission to the competitions without the right to a refund for the cost of the ticket price.

9. A reasonable distance from other people must be kept in crowds.

10. It is mandatory to wear a mask on the competition territory.

The visitors acknowledge that due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the event may be cancelled at very short notice, the number of spectators may be reduced, or the presence of spectators may be banned altogether. In all these cases, the organiser has the right to change the rules of organisation and the visitors have the right to a refund of the ticket price. In case of an event with a limited number of spectators, tickets will be redistributed to the number permitted by the Health Board according to the chronological date of purchase.

Should the number of spectators currently permitted be increased, the organiser reserves the right to offer the newly vacated seats for further sale.

The organiser notifies the visitors of changes to the event through the website www.biathlonotepaa.com and other media channels.
